Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role in the first year consisted of assisting others with their cases. This included
reviewing client files and assessing whether or not their claim would be successful and providing legal advice alongside this. Now in the second year of my apprenticeship, I have been able to utilise this experience with my own case files.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy my programme a lot. The team is incredibly supportive and the work is interesting, especially if a claim requires extensive research on something I have not covered previously.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

My apprenticeship has helped me to develop so many skills. I find that I can manage increased workloads in comparison to a year ago and as my confidence has increased, so has my ability to solve problems more independently but still having the support there if needed. Internal training happens often to keep our skills up to date.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

My studying is structured and easy to follow. After each of my study modules, I discuss the requirements with my manager and we work together to find relevant evidence. My mentor is also so supportive, I can go to her with any worries and her responses are always great.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a lot of support from my employer. I can go to my manager for any questions that I have. We have a weekly 1-1 in the calendar for general chats or work questions and a monthly 1-1 in which we talk about my capacity and wellbeing.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My training provider offers a lot of support. My mentor always responds to any questions I have and we have a catchup once every six weeks as well as one with my mentor and manager every twelve weeks.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My qualification through my training provider helps me to perform better in my role because I have to gather evidence for my portfolio which allows me to branch out and ensure I am making the most of my apprenticeship and completing a variety of tasks in the workplace.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
