Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I work in a shop and work on the online team. I go into work and pick peoples shopping ready to be delivered. I check dates and make sure i pack them correctly. I pop on labels for the correct customer on the correct crate to be delivered on the day.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I really enjoy my programme. I feel like i have learn new things and have also learnt new things about the stuff i already know. I feel like what i have learnt has helped me in my job, i see things differently and have also used what i have learnt to talk to colleagues about it.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I feel like i have developed my customer service skills. Dealing with customers in store and over the telephone. I have also learnt new skills for the online operation i lead, this is how to pick correctly, how to print the paperwork for the driver and how to do a van check correctly.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
I feel like it is well structured. I can see what i have done and what needs doing. I also like seeing how much i have done overall. I feel like it helps me organise my time better with what i am doing, giving myself a target to reach each week.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I feel like i am getting loads of support. I have asked questions if i get stuck and they help me understand stuff that i dont understand. They are very interested to hear about my progress and also ask about where i am at with my work. They also helped me when i asked to start song new things.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I feel like i get alot of support. When i have my phone calls, we get chance to talk about what i have learnt, i can also ask any questions about things i might not 100% understand and will get a very helpful explaination with examples to help me even more.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I do feel like it helps. When i am at work and we are talking about certain thinga, i feel like i can give a good input to the conversation because of what i have learnt. Alot of the stuff on the modules are things i already know but doing these activities do give me more information.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
We do have social gathering like staff parties which get us all together as a year which can involve going out for a meal or it could mean a team building activity which we have done before so we get into teams and work as a team to build things. We also do charity events which we do as a store which helps the charity that our company supports.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Iceland Frozen Foods to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I do enjoy my job. I fele like the jobs we offer can suit anyone, we offer different start times for shifts and also different contracts. In my store we have parents and people who go to school/college, if they struggle with certain times fo work, it can be worked around for them.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Iceland Frozen Foods?
I would say to people to just be themselves, to show eat they can offer even if they dont have the correct experience. Sometimes its not always about what experience you have as things can be learnt. Its also down to how you bond worth your team, how you work as a team and how you are around people.
