Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Enabling choice and independence whilst supporting with personal care, manual handling and medication administration. Also working alongside occupational therapists, district nurses and doctors to ensure that the correct level of support is being carried out for the client.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy the job itself and the team I have around me. I feel that I am making a real difference in people's daily lives.

I have completed my induction and I am also competing my level 3.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

I am currently enjoying my training programme at present. I feel that I am well supported in achieving the goals I have set for myself. My tutor sets me enough work for me to complete this comfortably without there being too much or not enough.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer gives me an adequate amount of support when I need it. They have a good working relationship with me.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My tutor has been very helpful and marked my units almost straight away. Whenever I have needed guidance she has gotten back to me in a timely manner.
