To provide care within clients homes, assisting with washing, dressing, medication and reablement.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I have really enjoyed working towards my diploma. My tutor is always a phone call away and she has set reasonable and manageable amounts of work throughout! She is very down too earth and approachable.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes. I have enjoyed completing my diploma and have learnt more about a senior role and will find this very useful in the future. I have learned about Person centred care which I am passionate about. I have complete additional online maths sessions to gain FSM at level 2.

Excellent. I have always known what I
Need to do and timescale set to do this, ‘Bud’ is very easy to Navigate, upload work and to see deadlines.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

Throughout the diploma you’re expected to complete this in your own time.
Work have been happy to put me forward to complete the diploma; however, there isn’t an
Allocated paid day to complete diploma related coursework.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Yes

Why?

I love my job at AMG. It’s very fast paced and I like to keep busy, the hours can be long. The training is very Good, it’s well paid and the staff are lovely.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to AMG Nursing and Care Services?

If you need a contracted job then this probably isn’t the job for you. We can have quieter periods, and during this
Time your income will be reduced.
You must be reliable, happy to travel and have excellent communication skills.
