Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Providing assistance to senior audit team members in conducting an audit. This would involve doing several smaller tasks, communicating with the client etc.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
It's amazing, the mix of university papers, chartered papers and work experience, is incredibly rewarding. It definitely is not easy, but an incredible programme

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have gained several skill directly relating to using the audit software and how PwC audit their clients. I have also greatly built on my excel knowledge, which I am sure would be very useful down the line.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
The programme directors have done really well, to squeeze the work placements, into our degree. Although I do at times I feel this makes exams harder to study for, especially right after a work placement, but that's what makes this programme so rewarding.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
There were numerous forms of support from the firm, and from several people within the university. There were seniors in the firms who were always on hand to help us if we had any problem.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
We were given several contacts to talk if ew had any queries, problems or just required more assistance with work towards our qualifications.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
The qualification is a directly related of the work we perform at PwC. Therefore, it is very helpful in helping us further understand the work we perform
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Yes, when the COVID restrictions allowed, we had social events and plenty of oppurtunities to network within the office

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend PwC to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Definitely, the work culture at the firm and support you receive from everyone there is incredible. Especially when interning, you gain so much valuable information and contacts.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC?
I would recommended them to be patient, as the whole process is a bit lengthy, and to be honest. A lot of the process is about yourself, and how you align with PwC's goals
