Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
Im a flying starter, which means i dont have a qualification yet. The program enables me to work with qualified people and see what audit is. On a day-to-day basis, i helped teammates with easy stuff that needed to be done after getting some coaching by them.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I enjoyed my program in a great extend, as it allowed me to meet new people, interact and work with them. Even though we were busy at most of the times working overtimes, i have pretty good memories when i look back to it.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I learned PwC softwares and i developed my skills in excel. Also i learnt how audit works. How it is planned, how that planning is getting into practice.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
2/5
My programme is organised at an acceptable level. Some of us were not expected, the length of the hours we worked, but also how tough a client could be. The fact that we need to study at the same time, it was making it even worse.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
The support was good. The managers knew that we were only interns, and we were getting the coaching we needed.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
We gained a reasonable amount of knowledge from one exam( assurance)-, and at the placement we saw that in practice. We were learning so many things, at the placement, that most probably we will see that later on at the university.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
2/5
There socials, and social activitites, but due to the load of work, we were not able to join many of them.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend PwC to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Its a huge firm, you can meet lots of people, and as the clients are getting tougher by the means of strict deadlines, the team comes closer and closer. I made friends that i didnt imagine i would. As a business is well structured, and this is due to the years of experience.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC?
As a new joiner, try to be open to challenges, and dont be afraid to get out of your comfort zone.
