Overview of the Experience

Please give an overview of what your work experience involved:
5/5
Attending meetings with solicitors and trainees detailing their experience. We also took part in hypothetical case studies and law cases, working in groups to make and deliver our arguments for the case presented. We were also provided with recourses like contracts and dispute management. The employees also went out of their way to not only advice us lie mentees but create realistic tasks for us that replicate what they do in their profession daily.
To what extent did you enjoy your work experience?
5/5
I loved it and appreciated every second of it. Honestly it flew past but I was able to make some hopefully lasting relationships and talk to so many people.
How well organised was your work experience?
4/5
Extremely well organised, even down to the breaks, the schedule was so considerate to us students and very comfortable.
How much did your work experience help you in deciding on your future career path?
5/5
It was extremely helpful, it has allowed me to finally conclude that I was a career in law and it even helped me decide what I would like to specialise in.
Were you paid or reimbursed for this experience?
1/5

Skills Development

What training and skills development did you learn from your work experience?
4/5
I was able to become a stronger, more confident virtual communicator and I was also imparted in invaluable knowledge about applications and vocational schemes.

Company Culture

How much did you learn about the company culture and what it would be like to work there?
5/5
I got a good insight not only the values of the Pinset masons but the environment it encourages and it was honesty such a lovely space that was more than reflected in the employees.
Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees?
5/5
This was introduced from the start with breakout rooms and further encouraged through 2 networking session at the beginning and end of the programme.

Recommendations and Advice

Would you recommend Pinsent Masons LLP to a friend?
Yes
Why?
It was overall a great experience and they were so kind, I would highly recommend them to anyone considering a career in law who wanted to work within a heathy, social and accepting environment.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Pinsent Masons LLP?
Just go for it, truly engage and ask questions at the end of the day the people who benefit most are the ones who interact most and if you engage the employees are more likely to remember you. Put aside nerves and you will realise you start to feel more comfortable and keep in touch wit them after the programme or even if you didn't get accepted, there will be other opportunities.
