My work experience involved attending talks from Trainee solicitors and other lawyers at the firm, interacting with other students, taking part in group discussions and presentations and using my skills and the legal knowledge that I have gained to complete set tasks.
To what extent did you enjoy your work experience?

The work experience programme was over and above my expectations. I was so excited for it but it was so much more interactive than I thought it would be - which I absolutely loved.
How well organised was your work experience?

It was really nicely set out on Forage and very easy to navigate and access.
How much did your work experience help you in deciding on your future career path?

I definitely think I would love to study Law now. I'm still leaning more towards Barrister than Solicitor but I've definitely had a great insight into what being a solicitor may involved.

What training and skills development did you learn from your work experience?

From the work experience I have developed my communication skills, my critical thinking skills and my teamwork skills. Work experience online has also helped to develop my ICT skills.
Company Culture
How much did you learn about the company culture and what it would be like to work there?

I would absolutely love to be a part of the company one day and I really admire the values and culture that the firm takes pride in. I really enjoyed the diversity session and I thought the support groups within the company are amazing!
Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees?

We had the opportunity to meet other students, trainee solicitors and partners and lawyers in the firm.

Why?
I really enjoyed my experience and found that it really widened my legal knowledge and understanding. It has definitely helped me to make a more informed decision about Uni which was why I applied to the programme!
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Pinsent Masons LLP?
It would definitely be to take your time making your application and to do research on the firm and their values before you apply!
