The work experience program included multiple tasks and presentations on the legal sector; in particular, commercial law.

To what extent did you enjoy your work experience?

I genuinely enjoyed my work experience - I enjoyed the wide variety of guests that we were exposed to which provided me with a valuable insight into the practicalities of the legal sector.

How well organised was your work experience?

It was extremely well organised - the Early Talent team was extremely welcoming and willing to help to ensure that I never got lost throughout the program. Furthermore, the forage platform was easy to interact with.

How much did your work experience help you in deciding on your future career path?

I was previously rather confident in pursuing a legal career but nonetheless, this work experience further solidified my desire to become a lawyer.

Skills Development

What training and skills development did you learn from your work experience?

I felt that the concept of commercial awareness was particularly valuable. Furthermore, the interactive nature of the course kept me engaged throughout the program, which is more than I could ask for in a virtual placement.

Company Culture

How much did you learn about the company culture and what it would be like to work there?

I felt that through the brief glimpse of the presentations led by trainee solicitors, Pinsent seems like a very welcoming and ambitious law firm.

Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees?

Yes, there were. Furthermore, there was a networking opportunity amongst the students who participated in the work experience placement on the last day.
