Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
On a day to day role I usually open my emails and see what has been sent for the day. Emails come in through the day which also include work I have to complete. An example of the work I carry out includes booking subcontractors on to site so that they can carry out there work.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I do enjoy my programme. I enjoy going on to site and getting experience of what the job is like. I also enjoy learning the practical and theory side of the job, This is because I enjoy knowing the process and what has to be done to achieve the final goal.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Many skills have been learnt since starting this apprenticeship. Skills continue to be l earnt everyday. Existing skills that I already had also continue to be improved on. I do believe this apprenticeship has encouraged me to improve on my skills to make me a far more efficient in the workplace.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
I believe the structure of my programme could be improved. From my experience there seems to be a lack of communication between the college and my place of work. Apart from that the general apprenticeship scheme seems to be put together well and allows you to experience plenty of areas in your work place.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive plenty of support from my employers. My employers are very good at supplying me with support weather this is support with my work or even mental health support. There are many people in my place of work that will specialise in diffrent sectors so there should always be someone to speak to
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
To complete my qualifications I require support from my team and the company. A lot of my qualification is completed by reporting what work I did in my placements. I also have to write questions which include questions about my work. My training provider would also point me in the right way to find out information.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I believe once I have completed my qualification There will still be a lot to learn but I feel that my qualification would have helped me a lot and I would be a lot more knowledgeable in certain matters than others who have may not have gone through my qualification.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are many organised events that go on within Babcock. Usually these events are open to everybody in the company. These events vary from sport events to social events. You may also be able to set up your own extra curricular activates overs can join you would just have to talk to the right people to help set it up

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Babcock International Group to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I would recommend Babcock to a friend because I believe that the apprenticeship scheme is a great way to get your carer on track. They also accept people of all ages so that It is never to late to change your carer path around. They offer great experiences which is hard to find now in other companies.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Babcock International Group?
Tips I would give to people applying would include researching the company so you understand what they do and what you could be doing in the future. Prepare interview questions so that when you come to the interview you are prepared and know how to answer the questions that are asked.
