Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Support the deployment of Employee Empowerment initiatives throughout the plant
Coordinate management development and training activities, including the maintenance of training records.
Conducting weekly audits regarding aspects such as Health and safety, Production and Site improvement.
Daily management of time and attendance data to produce management reports to support business decisions, month end KPI’s and employee payroll.
Deputising when required as daily management meeting and other meetings as needed.
Assist the HR team in personnel administration, implementation of group HR policies, maintenance of employee files, employee queries and consumables ordering.
Support the application of disciplinary procedures via attendance and note taking in discipline and grievance meetings.
Support employee relations initiatives and projects such as Charity Challenge.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
- Occupational Health (data, appointments and OH liaison)
- Collating and reporting daily data for management meetings,
- Deputising for my manager at multiple meetings when required
- Assisting recruitment for management team vacancies such as competency interviews with the plant manager
- Volunteering to be chairperson for the charity challenge for the year.
- Taking a lead with multiple initiatives from the group such as Improvement ideas and Faurecian of the Month nominations.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
- Professional conduct in a working environment, maintaining confidentially and sensitive information consistently.
- Digital proficiency with company software and systems, using these competently and furthering Microsoft proficiency, Excel in particular, due to daily usage.
- Communication skills, with continuous communication required with employees, this ability has developed significantly across the year, with the ability to communicate with many employees from different backgrounds becoming a major strength.
- Presentation skills as throughout the year, I have supported on and led multiple site presentations which has allowed for my presentational skills and confidence to do
