The role varies from day to day, but the majority of my tasks include contract management, stakeholder management, taking the project through different life cycles, getting advice from different engineers, reviewing documents, going on site visits and conducting safety inspections. Since being at TfL I have managed to learn so many new skills. We are given lots of support during our apprenticeship and generally placement managers want you to do well. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

If you are looking for a social apprenticeship, Transport for London is definitely the one to choose. Every different scheme has a large intake, so you'll always have people in the same position as you and TfL have a great graduate and apprentice committee which always has multiple events running

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Transport for London to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I think Transport for London offer exactly what you need as an apprentice. They have so much support and guidance readily available for apprentices alongside offering a wide range of schemes. Additionally, there is a future at TfL, unlike some apprenticeships who just want cheap labour, TfL really want you to succeed and stay part of the organisation
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Transport for London?
Research the role in as much depth as you can, ensure that you research all of TfL's core values. The interviewing process for TfL is quite long but definitely worth the aggravation. Make sure you stand out should you get to the group interview and most importantly, ask questions!!
