Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Helped client teams on any work they needed doing. I had a research project that I did. There were regular team wide meetings on responsible investment, and a team huddle every week, this helped us get to know everyone on the team!

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I was given a lot of responsibility, as I was given work that was actually of value to the company. It was work that was going to actually be useful to the client teams, this made me feel pride in the work that I was doing.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

I learnt a lot of excel skills, how to read and understand manager reports. How to fill in an IMR sheet. I also learnt how to lead a presentation and discussion and a topic that I researched.

Support and Guidance

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

I received a lot of support and guidedace during the internship, I had a buddy who was very helpful with helping me out with the little things. I had a people manager who I had weekly meetings with who would ask me how I was doing and give me advice and answer any questions I had from the week. And everyone who gave me work explained it very well.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

The company had a great atmosphere, everyone was really nice and easy to get along with. People wanted to talk to you and they made u feel like a valued member of the company. This made it easy to ask for help, and no one ever made you feel stupid for asking a question.
