Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
I am responsible for integrating solutions to client requirements for their ServiceNow instances.
This involves conversing with clients, listening to what they want, deciding upon a solution and then implementing it.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
After training, there is a great deal of responsibility involved in developing and maintaining clients.
Computacenter gives a real experience of working with their clients, all of which are well established companies in their own right.

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
Yes. Before I started this placement I had no idea what ServiceNow was, but the first three months of the placement are training in the ServiceNow ecosystem, which while being quite intensive, is very rewarding.
Computacenter also pays for certification examinations in ServiceNow which are excellent transferable skills.

Throughout the course of the last few months I have been supported consistently by members of my department, my manager, HR, and the Future Talent team. All of which have given me an excellent experience in introducing and getting me into the company.

Company Culture
What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Busy while simultaneously being chill.
Everyone in my department works 9 to 5:30 consistently with very busy schedules. However, it's quite a tight knit group of people who are very warm and welcoming.
After work sometimes when we're in the office, our manager will ask if we want to grab a drink and have a chat for a bit, and everyone usually does.

What advice would you give to others applying to Computacenter
Take time to make sure you present yourself correctly in your CV, cover letter, and interview. Spelling mistakes are a big red flag and if you hold yourself poorly, stutter, etc, it reflects badly on how you present yourself.
Make sure you demonstrate clearly what skills you have and why they are applicable to the job you're applying for (I.e., not: "I would be a great astronaut because I can swim ").
