Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
My role is to receive incoming calls from engineers who are currently at different sites tasked out to fix various issues, I also fix faults with the Wi-Fi for various businesses by logging into SecureCRT and performing different commands to troubleshoot the devices and attempt to get them up and running
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I enjoy my programme as i have received lots of support from the university and colleagues in order to assist and help me with passing my assignments and exams to a good standard. I am also pleased with the support we get from BT in consistently allowing us to have study days

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learned a mixture of new and existing skills on the wifi team as i was on the team before i have reminded myself of some of the commands which I was using before and i have also learnt the function of various new commands to help fix devices

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
My programme is structured well as we have learned lots of different modules throughout which are all relevant to the course and all help us to learn about network engineering which we can use to help us with our day to day roles which help us to learn on the job
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive lots of support from my employer as they allow us to have many study days every week in order to help us pass the apprenticeship, i therefore try to use this time wisely. I also know that if i am ever struggling with something i can ask for extra study if i feel i need it
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
For the last 3 years i have usually had two university days which allow us to get taught the course we are working towards, these days are helpful, however not all of the teaching i have received has been as high of a level as it could be which makes the learning a bit more of a challenge
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
My training given through the university has helped with a few of my jobs however it is not always relevant for some of them. Most of the theory work i will not really come across as part of my work, only maybe briefly in some roles but not man of them
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are not really any extra activities which i have been involved in, i have taken part in a few tournaments however such as volleyball and table tennis. i also took part in the Adastral Park sports day event which was an enjoyable day to do with your mates a d gets you active
