Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Designing, testing and delivering change into the branch network- project management, performance management. Mostly non-customer facing, some time spent in branches deploying change with customers and colleagues.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
Balancing study and work can be a challenge- especially when there are multiple assignments due in a short space of time- but working remotely due to covid has given me a much better work life study balance.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Have done professional qualifications throughout my time with HSBC- and am now doing the mastership through Cranfield. There has also been regular internal courses - development is very much a priority.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
Fairly well organised, structured units/ assessments.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Lots of support- 20% off the job for study, and very flexible and accommodating. Manager is brilliant and has a great attitude towards supporting my study
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
Tutor support feels more of a formality and doesn't add value- feedback is slow to be received, feels like a tick box exercise. The actual lectures are great.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
Gives me a much better understanding of the wider industry- and also how to work with others (due to organisational behaviour/ politics).
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
Pre-covid yes, at the moment- no. Only remote activities- linked to wellbeing.
