currently at college completing a level 3 BTEC and a level 2 PEO. I work towards this every day as I am currently full time at college, however soon to move to day release at college.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I enjoy this a lot as I am learning new things and have an opportunity to use them in a workplace like cummins.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt new skills that are vital to engineering like working in a team and using initiative. I have also gained a lot of practical skills since starting derwentside college very quickly for example, using machinery, welding and using electrical components.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
Very well organised as the first 2 years will be completing the level 2 and level 3 together and then i will move onto a HNC which would be another 2 years this allows me to move forward with my knowledge very well.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
A lot- they are always an email away and reply very quickly. They also offer a lot of benefits to help apprentices and employees in every day life.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
A lot as we are here 5 days a week at the moment so almost all of the work for the qualifications is supported by drwentside.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I feel very well as I am learning a lot of knowledge and practical skills which will be able to help massively.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are lots of opportunities to do things outside of work all that needs to be done is to volunteer or suggest something.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Cummins to a friend?
Yes
Why?
The qualifications available as well as a career path into one of the biggest engineering companies in the north-east of England. The support that the employees get as well is very good.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Cummins?
Try your hardest as Cummins would really like someone who will work hard and is willing to learn. Also, make sure you are very interested in the role like I am as this will give a good chance as Cummins pick the right people for the job.
