I go through different departments that are specialized in different ways to provide services to customers or the improvement of the company itself. usually i get assigned different employees on the site to understand what their role involves and get a better product or company knowledge.
Then sometimes i get to act out their roles with their guidance and management.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I've enjoyed the programme so far, being able to talk and connect with each of the friendly individuals who works in each department while learning how there roles effect the company and the customers, alongside with the other apprentices.
Ive enjoyed the process of going through each department, though i feel like some are slower pace than others.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have definitely learnt more skills than i did in the past, i have learnt a lot about the product offer Schneider has, this is also includes the product offers, other rival company's have and who those company are.
i also feel like I've gained a good idea how Schneider works and how each department in the Telford office operates, while also cooperating with other departments or teams else where around the globe.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

I feel like some parts of the programme was organized as it should be, making it easy and more effective for me to crack with the work in hand, while learning what that department does.
But there has been some where team leaders either didn't know i was joining the department or didn't have any work for be to work on.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

In all honesty, i have received great support whether it be with issues, with the college course or issues that may arise in the programme, but this support is only really available if asked for or the issue comes to their attention.
I feel like there's not much support if there's no work for me to be able to do, dependent in which department I'm in.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

There hasn't been much support given to me, to help achieve a qualification or any issues i have, whether that be with difficulties i have with college work, information of the course, deadline of coursework, what coursework is outstanding to them, the ability to store or properly organized handed work.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I don't feel like any of the things I've learnt about or worked on in my assignments to be much related to the work I'm doing in my job role, some of the course doesn't revolve around that role much or even at all.
But i know some of the work i was suppose to be doing last year could of helped or be more relating to my role.

Yes there is many activities that are on offer whether, that's get together, quizzes, a range of changeless e.g... biking, running together, climbing and charity event challenges.
another thing is a season pass that includes discounts on other activities for employees to do together or family to join.

Why?
Schneider electric is a great company to work other during the apprenticeship experience and there is a good load of options that they can get into and dependent on what department, there is plenty of opportunity to work their way up and improve their knowledge, with potential to work on qualifications.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Schneider Electric?
If you have a interest in the electrical side of engineering, how products work/ function to help power buildings and machinery efficiently and effectively with the use of energy to power such things.
with a greater interest in working in a more office base environment that revolves around electrical products, offers and the services provided to customers.
