Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
Processing employee changes on the relevant internal systems / creating newsletters to be distributed to the employee population / answering queries coming through to a shared inbox / adapting processes to increase efficiency / producing references and letters to be sent out to employees / attending training and learning sessions / working in the recruitment department 1 day per week
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I thoroughly enjoy my programme. L'Oreal heavily invest in emerging talent and commit to our progression. Despite being in a junior position, I have access to senior members of my department. There are plenty of opportunities to progress beyond the apprenticeship, including opportunities to work abroad. Our growth is fully supported and encouraged

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
The programme is highly structured and well organised. It is very clear what is expected of us once joining and we are soon put in touch with current apprentices to help guide us and introduce us to the company. We attend emerging talent conferences, informing us of our opportunities etc.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive a high level of support from L'Oreal. We have plenty of opportunity to ask questions relating to our role/ our opportunities. My team is very supportive and have been key in my growth and have guided me through any problems I have faces. My line manager is also very committed to my progression
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
My tutors are very helpful and offer opportunities for questions to be asked / support to be given. I enjoy studying at Pearson and I enjoy the teaching style of my tutors. They have a helpful attitude towards supporting me and fellow students. They are accessible via multiple platforms and are keen to help.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
My studying has aided my day to day role in my apprenticeship such as stakeholder management. In a general sense, balancing work and studying has challenged my time management which has helped develop this skill set. I have not yet learned anything specific to HR but as allowed insight into business principles
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are both social events and committees (I am part of the Diversity and Inclusion committee). We often have social events after hours, either craft making, or games night etc. There are also social events specifically for apprentices (each year we are given a budget to spend on social events).

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend L'Oreal to a friend?
Yes
Why?
L'Oreal is committed to learning, as we attend multiple learning conferences per week, on many different topics (diversity, motherhood, entrepreneurship). L'Oreal is committed to educating its employees on a diverse range of topics and offer us resources to educate ourselves. We can also complete courses to help with future employment
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to L'Oreal?
You should focus on L'oreal's values as a company because it is just as important to align with their values as it is to have the correct experience. I would make sure you have examples of when you have showcased their values, and what impact that has had
