Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

As part of this programme, I have completed a paediatric level 3 in first aid. This has taught me how to perform and deliver CPR to an infant/ child. This also included the different ways of putting an infant or child in a recovery position. I have also learnt how to deliver back blows to an infant or child who is choking.
This programme has also included webinars on different areas of a child's development. I attended a webinar on theories and theorists in which I learnt about different ways a child processes information for example the Piaget theory. This webinar taught me all about the different types of theorists for example a behaviourist someone who looks and analyses the way a child behaves and their links through behaviour.
I have developed upon many existing skills, this involved one being patience as working with children can sometimes be a little tedious!
