Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

So with my role we deal with day to say maintenance as well as call outs and reactive work (meaning repairs or faults going on within the sites we work on daily). Based on a Monday to Friday week maintaining sites and all of the assets allocated to us for the day.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I do enjoy this programme as you meet new people every day and the more you get your head stuck in the more you see the potential within this job role so succeed and to proceed with the potential to become what you want at the end of the line.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I'm always up for learning something new and within this company it is perfect for that category from installations to repairs. The variety of work spreads for miles and within them miles there is so much to learn and do within the day. As much as the work is practical its enjoyable at the same time.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

Very well structured from work to college. Good thing with college is your working with people on the same level as you so if you don't know something there's always help with everyone speaking about the job or current situation going on within practical or lesson on the day.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Very much if I ever need anything done it can be from booking holiday to needing new ppe they're always there to help and they always understand my needs within the job and the tools I need for the job to get done on that day on the site.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Very much as much as work help me the college does it's best to make sure we get what we need with our company and in our lessons to make sure we get through our exams and our portfolios to help us with our career we want for us.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Because the work I do is very practical and on the tools your always learning no matter what the situation is. It could be from a emergency call out or even just generic maintenance there's always something to do and learn within this job role that it has to offer.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes there are so for an example there are always meeting or group meetings based on clubs and there is always something to do within them. Not only that there are events held on certain dates which are really enjoyable to go to and to be involved with is good.

Because what we learn doesn't just help us in our role we learn new things that stick with us for life everywhere we go which is a good life skill to have plus it helps you come out of your comfort zone to try something new in your life.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Equans UK & Ireland?
Nothing everything this company offers is perfect for the role you want to succeed in whatever the job role is if its practical or office work. The company has many departments.and many job roles to look into and all come with potential and new opportunities within the company of Engie.
