Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Given full ownership of creating a Splunk dashboard over the 6 weeks. This included quickly learning and applying knowledge of SPL , data acquisition, pre processing, manipulation and visualization.

The team was very welcoming, supportive and gave the freedom to research and use my knowledge and experiences to implement new ideas. A mentor is also allocated who is an expert in the field and was always available to support.

Having and showcasing your passion (for your area of application) is the most important factor in the application process. The more you can showcase your passions, along with skills and previous experience, the better change you will have of succeeding (giving examples e.g. using the STAR technique).
