Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Economic analysis of past and present policies and regulations put into place by the market regulator, with daily meetings with my line manager on findings. Building a slide deck to present to a wider audience on economic analysis and implications of the regulations put into place.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I have been responsible for researching a new area that the team wanted to look into, so I have been the key provider of knowledge in this new area, which others are less informed on.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

Lots of support and guidance, with daily meetings with my line manager when necessary, to provide feedback and support. As well as a rapidly responding IT and HR department when my needs were outside the scope of my line manager.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Amazing, this was my first in office job, so I was initially scared of what the workplace environment would be like. However, everyone has been super friendly offering time to help me learn things, as well as being super understanding if I needed any extra support put in place.
