Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
I am learning how diagnose faults, repair faults, provide brand new services or change from one service provider to another.
Through a number of different points in the network.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
The job covers many different aspects. It is very different most of the jobs I have had. It can seem tough at times however, all trainers I have meet have made the whole process much more easier to follow and understand
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
I have learnt how to use and look after my PPE, use this correctly through many different jobs. From climbing poles to working in the exchanges.
I have also learnt how to work safely from working in cabinets to closing sections of roads using traffic management
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?
The programme has also been well structured following a key path for us to follow. We have had a coaching buddy that kept in touch making sure we were ok
How much support do you receive from your employer?
Also with in the team, many team mates that I have meet, all have offered their support if I needed it.
Overall I have felt supported
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
In time I know that I will be completing work towards these qualifications.
I know this as I have already received communications and scheduling that offer the opportunity to complete this training in order to get the qualifications
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
At the moment I am learning the basics which will then be assessed
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
