Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Retrieving Log files from a system and parsing the data through ELK to enrich the data in a easier and more manageable fashion to help with Investigations when ERRORS, WARNINGS and Debugs occur.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, I'm Currently the only person working on ELK Stack process for the team, to help create a standard format of logs, enrich data and present it through visualizations which will speed up the process of Investigations if there are ERRORS, WARNING and Debugs within the system.

There is plenty of support and guidance that Citi provide, you are assigned a Mentor to help you with any problems that you face or occur. Not only that you're entire team will make you feel welcomed and will help you including your manager.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I'm currently in a 11 Month placement program, I'm enjoying it quite a lot, lots of interesting topics, training modules and learning of new technology & meeting new people. I like that I've been given my own Task(Project) on something I've never used before ELK stack which helps boosts your knowledge, independence, responsibilities and adaptability.
