Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My job role involves preparing accounts and also general admin jobs around the office. I often have to sort files and add new clients onto the database, but I also complete accounts to be reviewed and use accounting software such as sage or xero, I use the data from this to prepare accounts
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy the programme, the webinars are informative and I look forward to them. They are easy to understand and the tutors have a lot of knowledge of the subjects they are teaching. I am always able to get the answers to any questions that I may have, it is great.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes, I have learnt lots about accounting and how to complete accounts properly and well. I have also learnt about bookkeeping and become a lot more confident with that. I have developed my numerical and calculator skills enabling me to be more confident at work now than I was before.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is not the most organised, I had an induction but was not told very much about the programme or how it worked. I have learned along the way how to get the best out of the programme, and I now get the support I need most of the time
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a lot of support from my employer, they ensure that I have time to study and I always have a mentor who can support me in any questions that I may have. They will guide me with any problems I may have and help me with any questions I am stuck on.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive a decent bit of support when I am coming up to exams, the tutors are there to book extra sessions if I am struggling with any part of the topic, and all webinars are recorded and sent out so I can access them at any time. This is useful when revising.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My qualification has enabled me to progress quickly through my job and has helped me to understand my role in the company and what the end product is. It helps me on a day to day basis as I am able to put into practice the theory I have already learnt
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are some extra curricular activities that I can get involved in. As I work for a very small company our extra curricular activities involve going out for lunch in local restaurants and shows such as the Cheshire Show. I find these enjoyable as I get to learn more about Cheshire and the surrounding area

Why?
I have found the course very useful and informative and ultimately I am coming away with a good qualification. It is easy to get extra help with the college work and revision. The course has helped me improve my skills on the job as well as get high marks in my assessments
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Babington?
I would apply early and give yourself lots of time to fill in the application so you are not rushing last minute. I would also think about what course you are best suited for and what you will have the best chance of enjoying and also succeeding at. Good Luck :)
