Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
My role involves rotating every 8 months into a different area of the business where I get to work with many people and experience a whole range of projects on a regular basis. I settled in very well as they treat you like an AstraZeneca employee from the get-go. One day a week is dedicated to university.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
Although I've been working from home, it's been quite fun and surprisingly collaborative. Even from home you feel the workplace culture.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Definitely, there's always something to learn, whether you're at uni or you're working on a project at work. I've learnt things such as Python, Excel and Data Management in my first year.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
AstraZeneca is a huge company and is structured very well. You can almost get lost with the number of teams there are however you do get to explore a lot of them as you rotate around the business.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
A lot. We have coaches, managers, buddies, and mentors that all make sure we're doing well and any issues are resolved as soon as possible.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
BPP only give us a coach, however as it is an online course, we hardly get any contact with professors themselves unless it's via email.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
BPP assignments always link to the workplace and how we can implement what we learn into our roles.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
Even working from home, there are social activities, presentation clubs and lunch-time chats.
