Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Involved in Debt Capital Markets Liability Management and Syndication team - mainly involving Execution and Pricing for new issuances and bond buybacks and day-to-day tasks included preparing documentation and pitching material

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I was able to work on live deals and through the support of my team, I was able to gain more insight into the industry as well as various deals that were happening at the same time. This helped me to develop my technical skills.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

I believe that the support and guidance that was provided was excellent. As a new intern, the team ensured that I was given tasks that would help me develop my skills throughout the internship. Furthermore, as an intern, you are able to ask questions to anyone in the team or in the office as everyone is very friendly.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

I believe that the culture and general atmosphere is very positive and supportive. As an intern, I believe that you are able to approach anyone and learn more about Citi as everyone is very friendly and willing to help you learn.
