Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
Day to day, i reply to emails and go on zoom. More specifically, I deal with banking queries from the bank's charitable customers. This has bene great, because it's helped both my communication and financial skills
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
The people are friendly, the work is interesting and my learning plan is quite comprehensive.
Joining during lockdown and working from home has been hard, but the team has been so friendly, and natwest has good procedures in place which has really helped a lot.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
Communication, because talking to clients is a large part of my job, and also i have to work closely with my colleagues in the team.
Financial skills due to the exposure to the banking world and also loan calculations.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?
But what has really helped is that Natwest has provided a good, structure to enable me to balance work and study, and gain good exposure to the area

Joining during lockdown and working from home has been hard, but the team has been so friendly, and natwest has good procedures in place.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
I am able to take the required time out of my work week to complete my studies, and my team is very understanding of the demands on my time which has helped me a lot.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
They go hand in hand, where my role helps provide me exposure to what i am studying, and that my studies enable me to perform better in my role as i understand it more
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
There are work adjacent activities, such as networking opportunities and skill building lessons.
There are also more social events, and groups based round moral ideas, such as gender balance, racial equality and giving back to wider society outside the bank.
