Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

ive alraedy been in a few teams, at the moment im on a L2 support team for a service called PayIt by Natwest. i create incident tickets for L3 support to review and they get back to us with the problem so we can tell L1.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

i have been really enjoying my programme so far i have classroom sessions every 1-2 months to primarily focus on my apprenticeship and when im not doing that im working with my team daily.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

ive learnt many new skills academically and ive learnt a range of soft skills. To name a few ive learnt confidence, how to work in a team, time management skills and on top of all that ive learnt skills coding teaches you such as logical thinking and patience etc.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

it is structured well i have occasional calls with my digital leaning consultant to make sure im on track and they help me get ready for classroom sessions.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

i have a call with my manager every two weeks and he makes sure im feeling comfortable and helps me with learning. he and other members of the time are available when i need them if i have any questions about work.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

my training provider is available 24/7 and they respond within 24 hours to any questions or if i submit work so they are very helpful.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

i am learning multiple programming languages with my training provider therefore i can work better within my team and be more helpful.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

yes there is always things going on for example i have recently signed up for the hackerthon coming up soon. i also take part in coding training outside of work hours provided by natwest to widen my knowledge.

they are a great company and have been so welcoming. I received a welcome hamper when i first joined and all the colleagues are kind and respectful. its a great place to work.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NatWest Group?
Learn CPCs because they are a big part of the interview process and they are even more important when you get the job.
