Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

When I first log on each morning at 9:00 AM I go through my emails for various projects then have a call with my Line manager where we discuss various things such as procurement processes or what is required of a project manager. For the most part I split my time between projects working on various documents then seeing how they all fit together as a whole.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I am enjoying everything I have encountered on this programme. There have been amazing opportunities to visit sites in London as well as virtual workshops due to Covid. I also admire the way that the pandemic has not slowed down the teams attempts to provide support through the transition period at the start.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

- Time Management - With an apprenticeship you have to take control of how you split your time between different projects and commitments you have made. including how to respond when there is a clash between important meetings.
- Communication - Learning a difference between talking to a friend and talking to a college. How to write emails and ask for information from external sources
- How to take meeting minutes - A skill necessary to track the progress made in each meeting and how to proceed.
- safety on site - I have completed numerous safety modules in order to understand how to safely operate on site.
- Networking - I have found that meeting other collogues is a good way to find out more about the business and how best to get involved in it.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is very well organized with regular workshops to talk about useful skill as well as presentations from senior employees. The whole programme has been developed over the past couple years to the point where I feel lucky to have made it everyday.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive support at every corner, whether it's from the emerging talent team or from my team, I know I always have someone to turn to.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive regular apprentice training sessions covering a wide range of topics. as well as having a dedicated day each week to focus on my university work.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I have found that much of the information I receive from my university courses is applied to my day to day work.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
