Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Responsible for day to day running of a £50,000 a week retail store. Accountable for store KPI results, recruitment and training off staff to a high standard
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I enjoyed completing my programme. I just wish I was given more time during working hours as a lot of it had to be completed in my own time.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Yes, by using what I have learnt from the module’s I believe I have applied my learnings to my day to day role and have improved my own performance and my staffs too.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
It is very well organised. I always have support at the end of the phone and all members of the lifetime team where very accommodating and supportive. I would receive a appointment reminder which I could transfer straight to my phone calendar so I would never forget about a session.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
I received 3.5 hours per week to complete my apprenticeship. Sometimes this wouldn’t be enough though and would have to work on my days off to complete.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
The trainers where amazing. I was given a maths tutor who helped me with studying for my L2 function skills maths test. He was great. My apprenticeship trainer sue was also fantastic. Always there if I need her and very supportive.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I believe the skills I have learnt from my qualification have massively improved me as a store manager. From being more commercially switched on, to managing and developing my team. I would defiantly recommend the course to people looking to get into retail management.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
I have been mentoring a apprentice store manager recently in my own time and have been using the skills I have used to try and improve his performance and make him a more rounded store manager.
