Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
We are in customer service and at the minute we are planning an area within the UK. We are planning West Yorkshire and what we do is plan how many jobs and engineers there are on the park and how many jobs we think will get done. This is very basic terms as there is a lot more we have to do during the day and calculate all sorts of useful numbers.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I thoroughly enjoy my programme and I get along with everyone in my team. I am glad I chose to do this as it has opened my eyes to a working life whilst working alongside people my age. It has also provided endless opportunities and shows me where my career could lead me.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Yes I have learnt so many new skills. As well as developing my communication, team working and organisational skills, I have learnt more time management, public speaking and leadership. This has mainly been due to being part of a big team and little ones which has meant sometimes I have had to lead people to get the correct outcome.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
My programme is very well structured as it is broken down into 3 different roles. First we did call handling, now planning and then we go onto a third before the end of our apprenticeship. There is always people there to support us and provide more useful knowledge that we can use to better ourselves.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
We receive a good amount of support from our employer and colleagues. We get weekly emails that keep us up to date with the business and also provides places we can go if we need help. Also our manager is constantly checking in with us to make sure we are doing well and if we need any help/support for work or personal life.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
We receive so much support from realise. The person who personally deals with me is so kind and makes sure we are never struggling and her emails are always open if we need to drop her a message about anything. They provide presentations monthly which really helps build up our knowledge to make sure we are at our best when it comes to the end of our programme.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
I feel like the main benefit is that is builds up basic and advanced knowledge which we can take back to our workplace and use within our role. It is also good to provide another layer of support if we need it and we can get help with any aspect of the apprenticeship.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
2/5
Usually there are many extra things we can join and be a part of, however at the minute due to COVID 19 it has all been put on hold due to working from home, social distancing and COVID 19 secure workplaces. Hopefully it can all get back to normal soon.
