Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I train full time in college at a training centre. We do a mix of practical and theoretical work. We change topics every three weeks which i think keeps me interested and enthusiastic with the different topics.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I am currently really enjoying my programme as I feel I am learning lots of new skills that I will be able to utilize on site. I also enjoy the changing of the subjects every three weeks as it keeps things fresh and interesting.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes, I believe I have learnt lots of new skills during this period such as welding and calibrating pressure gauges. As well as also developing existing skills during my BTEC work on the maths.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

I think the programme is very well structured as it is constantly changing.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

We receive lots of support from our employer as we have weekly updates through the email system as well as having 3 monthly updates with our manager which I find although spend our time off site it keeps us well connected as well as introducing us to the people on site.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

We receive updates and reviews every three months with our employer and our training provider, I believe this helps me know where I stand and future goals in the future.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I believe it gives me an overview of the plant and it helps us understand the tools and machinery that we will come into contact with.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I think it is a great company to work for as they provide great training and are very supportive in my studies with my training provider.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to AstraZeneca?
I would advise to show a strong work ethic and an enthusiasm to work as the company is very fond of this quality and promotes this behaviour.
