Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
My role as an IT Customer Engagement Analyst includes managing software licensing agreements with external companies, communicating software's new features and enhancements and owning the Customer Satisfaction metric that measures how happy customers' are with their experience of IT.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I really enjoy my programme and find the balance of uni and work to be manageable. The L7 allows a much greater level of independent working which I really enjoy and feel that is also what helps me develop at work.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Having done the undergraduate degree apprenticeship before starting my L7 I have been able to develop lots of those skills including stakeholder management, communication, and project management. Starting this course as also allowed me to continue to develop my data analysis skills through work and university.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
My line manager and team are very supportive with my apprenticeship. I feel I am able to talk openly about any issues I am facing with coursework or deadlines and we are able to work together to address them which I find really useful.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
MMU are really supportive when it comes to support. I have found all lecturers to really appreciate that we work full time alongside our studies so they are very open to helping in times that work for us, alongside our study days.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
As my qualification is data analytics focused and the role I am working in is also quite focused around data, the two go hand in hand.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are lots of events outside of working hours that go on that would appeal to all different people. There are always opportunities to get involved with networking, charity, social events.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend AstraZeneca to a friend?
Yes
Why?
AstraZeneca has always been a very welcoming and accepting place to work. I was worried it would be hard coming in at 18 and fitting into working life but everyone had made it as easy as possible for me and still now help push me to grow everyday.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to AstraZeneca?
Look into AZ's values and core behaviours to make sure you are able to relate to them. You can tell a lot about how working at AZ is from the core values so being able to show you can relate is important.
