Record to Report Accountant Review

I am a record to report accountant so i am involved in the day to day running of the finance function, i do the reporting of the accounts and the evaluations of them each month. Coding Transactions, Invoices raising journals, Producing Cashflow forecasts, Raising journals, preparing stat accounts, audit engagement

From the 1st day i joined the programme we sat down and discussed the stages of it and the milestones on the way till its conclusion. i have a clear goal of what they want from me and what i want to achieve. The programme structure is based around this so it is easy to follow

Since i started my line manager has been very keen to expose me to learning opportunities. The business wants to ensure that i get the development i need to complete the course and get the most out of it. We also have a dedicated Organisational Development function who are always asking if there is anything more that i need to help my studies

Kaplan have provided me with all the relevant learning materials needed for the course. i also have two weekly classes where we learn the syllabus for the exams, as well as exam technique. They also provide tutors and unlimited access to their teachers. We have regular mock exams to track our progress

The qualification helps me to build more accounting knowledge and therefore ensure more accuracy in my day to day role. it also allows me to take on more difficult tasks as i develop as i understand whats needed due to my qualification development
