Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
The management and resolution of network defects. Organising teams to work on teams and set the workload bases on the priority level associated with each defect
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
The workload is challenging at times but i have thoroughly enjoyed developing my knowledge and career amongst supportive and knowledgeable colleagues.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learnt many new things both within the workplace and as part of the training provided through the apprenticeship. I am able to configure a range of networking devices and have established vital workplace skills.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
There was a lack of structure in the beginning from lack of experience on the team when it came to training an apprentice, after some guidance, this was quickly resolved and has been smooth sailing since
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
There has been a good level of support, it defiantly varies across the teams but overall people are very happy to assist and support the learning process.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
There was always easy communication between the training provider to facilitate an effective learning environment. Tutors are very supportive and happy to help.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
The qualifications taught the key fundamentals, but didn't always map directly to my specific job role, but it would be a challenge to find a course that did. But for the most part the training has definitely increased my knowledge and assisted my development in the workplace.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Team building and volunteering days are available. Every year (when there isn't a pandemic) there's a Christmas party and a summer BBQ for the department, which is a good networking and social occasion
