Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
Thorough programme with information about law, commercial law, the company, and what the next steps are for anyone interested in pursuing a legal career. There were talks and panels delivered by trainees, associates, partners, managers, recruitment etc., and an M&A simulation.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
It was extremely insightful and interesting. The scheme put to show the many opportunities and roles in the firm, but also helped manage expectations by being transparent about what to expect and paint a good picture of what working for DLA Piper involves.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Very positive, hard-working, supportive, clever and innovative. It seemed to be a widely diverse and inclusive firm with strong values that resonated with my own, and the experience left a positive imprint on me.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
So many points and questions I had coming in were answered by the time I got out. The structure was immaculate in that it addressed really important matters relevant to me as an aspiring solicitor, but also appealing to non-law students. It highlighted the firm's own values as well, and I was very pleased with what those were. What was presented seemed genuine, and I really enjoyed it and was happy to mirror the enthusiasm by which it was delivered.
