Caring and Supporting vulnerable adults in their own homes. All aspects of personal care needs, food and fluid intake, medication needs are all part of the role.

I have been in the care industry for 13 years and am learning all the time. existing skills are refreshed. Safeguarding and complaints procedures is the most current refreshed skill obtained.

I've just recently changed facilitators and am very happy with the new lady.

a lot! she is very helpful and is making the process so much easier for me which is very much appreciated.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

not really no. they do have a few things at times but as we are in the community it isn't something that tends to happen within our kind of work. to be honest I like the idea of being able to do my own thing (with the company policies of course) and not getting tied up in all the politics of working closely with people.

Would you recommend AMG Nursing and Care Services to a friend?

Yes

Why?

if people are able to work on their own indicative and have a bit of common sense, you can get support at the end of the phone but you need to be able to deal with situations as they arise. having care experience is a must. if I thought that someone could be an excellent carer and be able to work with a person centred approach, yes I would recommend.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to AMG Nursing and Care Services?

they are a great company and the office staff are very friendly. if you need anything then just ask. like with any agency work, you can have lots of work and you can have times where work is a bit thin on the ground. however they always look after you and the pay is excellent.
