Audit of financial entities as required for the purposes of statutory reporting or group reporting. Communication with client and the team is key to deliver a quality audit.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The programme was great and beneficial for personal development. Working with people at the firm was the highlight.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Improved Excel skills. Can confidently say I am advanced skill Excel user. Communication and organisational skills have also improved.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is well organised. I would say more can be done to improve this, as during the start I would most definitely say I was a bit lost (i.e. the training could be better improved to better suit new entrants). Though, I may have felt this due to the pandemic.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

We have a number of support groups which include People Managers, Buddies, Champions, your Programme Manager AND University contacts.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The support provided was more than sufficient. To be honest, everyone at the firm does try their best to help you out and make you feel involved in the audit.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Getting the ACA at the end of the programme is a one of the most beneficial aspects of the programme and being able to implement the knowledgfe acquired in real life helps a lot.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes there are society groups and networks which one may choose to get involved with as and when they want i.e. the PwC Muslim network or the Watford Social Group network.

Would you recommend PwC to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Well why not. Big four experience. You get your ACA after a few years of hard work. You get the support you need. You learn new things and get to see your self progress. The people are great and the benefits are great. There is opportunity for progression up the ladder. Not much that you can not get at PwC.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC?
Make sure they prepare well for the interview and are able to demonstrate the PwC corporate values.
