Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
My experience was good. All members of staff constantly went way out of their way in order to ensure i fully understood the tasks at hand. Everyone was hugely supportive and nothing more could be asked of PwC. We were provided great equipment for the time on the job and the experience gained was to a high standard
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I love my programme. I feel it is a great opportunity for anyone wanting to study finance or go into the auditing world or financial services world as a career. The company support their students and are very understanding when you are new. Overall he programme is of a high standard and very enjoyable.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Basic skills and functions in IT are something that were used on a daily basis and helped do the job. I also developed my financial accounting, management accounting and auditing skills. The skills gained will no doubt help me progress in my career and in on future jobs with PwC

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
The programme is set out into 4 years. Each year develops a different skill required for the overall qualification. It is clear to see that a lot of time has been spent on structuring the programme correctly and efficiently to benefit those involved. Overall, the programme is very well structured and very well laid out
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
PwC provide great support for interns and trainees. There is always someone to answer queries, help complete your work, or even provide assistance on tasks that an individual can't grasp themselves. There is also understanding from senior employees that interns are new and the seniors are patient and willing to repeat themselves.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
PwC provide all the support necessary. The learning facilities are fantastic and as an intern you couldn't ask for more. You are seen as a valuable asset and well looked after to ensure qualifications are achieved in a timely manner so you can develop expertise and thrive ahead of becoming qualified
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
The auditing world is highly regulated, this is something you certainly realise when working. Being able to learn the importance of rules and regulation in the industry through your qualification before working in the industry is very helpful. It not only ensures you are good in the role but also understand why you are good in the role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are plenty of activities, social events and networking events that are available to all employees. It would be extremely difficult to attend everything as there are only so many hours in a day. But this certainly acts as a great form of bonding amongst different employees in the company

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend PwC to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I would highly recommend PwC to a friend. I am proud to have earned myself a place here. I can't imagine any other company has anywhere near as much care, support and integrity to offer as they do. They are highly reputable and i look forward to becoming qualified and being a full time member of the PwC team.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC?
I would certainly say do your research. With PwC being such a reputable company, competition for roles here are extreme. It is wise to know your stuff before heading to an assessment day. The 5 values are absolutely vital. Make sure you have read and understood these values and could personally describe a time when you have shown one of these values in your lifetime.
