Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Attending meeting and carrying out audit work on a large variety of clients. I would work on a client for up to 3 weeks at a time and get to know both the team and the client in order to build relationships. I would also attend any socials that were being put on in order to get to know more people.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I really enjoyed the programme, however due to the pandemic I did miss the ability to socialise and get to know people properly as it is very difficult to do over video chats. Despite this I really enjoyed myself and look forward to returning in the future when I can meet people in person.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt a wide variety of new skills as this was my first time on placement. I have developed my professional skills by developing new professional relationships with my fellow team members and clients. I have also carried out a wide variety of training courses to further aid my development.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
The programme is very well organised and structured with a clear line of communication and support. The induction was very informative and covered a large amount of what we needed to know. There was also support available at all times and people always made themselves available to you if you were struggling.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I received plenty of support whenever it was required. This included fortnightly calls with my peer group and a more senior member of the firm to raise any issues and discuss any questions anyone may have as well as my career coach checking in monthly and always being available for a chat if I needed.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
I don't receive much support from my training provider as there is too many of us for them to focus on. However, they are available to help if I actively search for support and my tutor will reach out occasionally to check that I'm okay and that no issues have arisen.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
The theory that I have learnt from my training provider has helped me be able to perform in my work to a better standard. I'm learning about the industry through completing the qualification and it will help me to be better at my job in the future. I've been putting the theory learnt into practice.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There hasn't been many extra-curricular activities to get involved in, however this is due to the pandemic meaning everyone is working remotely and therefore there isn't the opportunity to host any events. I attended a virtual social once and it was very well organised and run and allowed people to get to know each other better.
