Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Working on teams for various clients to audit their accounts. My role entailed being assigned different areas of the financial statements to sample and test. There were daily team meetings to go through the tasks for the day and to get coaching.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I thoroughly enjoy my programme as you get the opportunity to study for a degree as well as working at PwC. I have enjoyed my time at PwC particularly the relationships I built with my teams. I have definitely learnt a lot of key skills and gained lots of knowledge during my placement.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have developed and learnt a variety of skills. I received brilliant coaching throughout which taught me how to complete different audit tests and gain technical skills over PwC software as well as becoming more confident using excel. I also developed problem solving skills and the daily interaction with the team and client developed communication.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is very well structured. Everything is organised so that you are either studying at university or on placement so you are able to balance everything. There is lots of support throughout through mentors and training.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

The support from PwC is really good and there are a number of people who are there to provide support when needed. I have a career coach and buddy as well those on my team and university contacts.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It was great to be able to put learning done at university into practice during placement.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Due to the placement being online there weren't many activities that there normally would be. However, there were weekly quizzes and team games each week to get involved in to break up the work.

Why?
PwC is a wonderful and inclusive place to work. There are so many opportunities that I was exposed to and it was a great benefit to be able to get work experience so early on. There is so much support at the firm and everyone is really friendly.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC?
I would advice them to make sure they prepare for any interview and assessments and be confident, showcasing their best selves. Ensure you know what PwC does and why you want to work for them.
