Moving around the Rolls-Royce business very 6 months to work in different teams within the planning and control function. Whilst studding Business management and leadership at Nottingham Trent University
A day to day basis for me is working and shadowing people in a warehouse currently to learn about the role

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

It has been a roller coaster of emotions as not everyday is easy.
In the beginning it was hard for me to adjust to working life but has got easier over the years.
II think I have preferred the type of work and the people within some the team more than others but with moving round every 6 months that doesn't last forever.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt a huge amount of new skills and developed loads of exciting opportunities to do so.
I have learnt more academic stuff at uni but have learnt life lessons whilst on the job. Both good lessons and bad.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme has varied over the duration of the course and has been very ethic in areas both at uni and internally at work.
I did often think at time that people were not 100% sure what they were doing and this did not fill me with confidence.
However I have always had support through looking for it myself and provided to me as a standard at both uni and work

How much support do you receive from your employer?

I received a huge amount of support and I can reach it from a variety of different areas whether its a call line or setting up a one to one meeting with my ADL. I always feel that people have my back and that they want meto do well .
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I have received a lot of support and have been given more over the duration of the time I have been working towards the qualifications. I do feel though that you have to go out of your way to get the support but I think this is due to the workload people have and the amount of people on the course. But for every time I have reached out I have always been given help.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I think that this does help but also you just need to get stuck in to your work and learn while on the job. It is great to have the academic side but I do think that more is learnt hands on instead of in a call room. However working towards the qualification has made me do things at work that I probably wouldn't have done without working towards it. Meaning that it has pushed me and this is for the better.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There is a large amount of extra curricular its just down to the individual if they want to take part.

Why?
Its a brilliant compony to work for and huge amounts of opportunities out there for people that are willing to look for them.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Rolls-Royce?
Take your time when applying and think about he course you want to do, if it will suite you, will you enjoy it. But overall just go for it and work as hard as you can to get in.
