Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I was a project manager/product owner within digital transformation projects. I worked as a wider team to deliver Agile projects with a focus on utilising data analytics to add value to the project and systems landscape. I was empowered to have a real and meaningful role and see real change.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I have enjoyed my programme a lot. I feel it is so important to set academic learning alongside work place practices as it makes the learning meaningful and actionable. Being able to meet with like minded students from other companies to discuss and share experiences and learnings has been a particularly useful and enjoyable element also.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learnt both new skills and developed existing skills. As part of the taught elements of the apprenticeship, i have learnt many statistical methods and built an understanding of programming in R language also. I have had the opportunity to improve these skills in the workplace. I have also had modules that have helped me improve my project management skills.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
It has been fairly well organised and structured. at the initial induction, all dates for learning were set out and it was clear the expectations and the support that would be available. Any time support was required, it was provided in a timely manor. Considering the adaption to home based working and learning, all changes were communicated effectively also.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
My employer has been very supportive. they supported me to do this activity in the first place, and have provided me all the time i need to complete it also. They have supported and guided me in whom to speak to internally when i needed support and ensured i had access to all relevant data to complete my assignments.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
I recieved sufficient support. I have had different modules and tutors, and they all have answered mails in a timely manor. I have been able to access the administration time to answer any additional questions also. During lockdown, the admin team engaged and ensured no issues were faced with furlough impact etc.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
It has had a significant impact for my job role, giving me the skill set i need to operate at a higher level, but also giving me the certification an qualification to communicate with management about my abilities also. This is an increasing area within my industry, so it is useful to open opportunities into other organisations also.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
2/5
There are a few. There are a lot of charity events throughout the year to be involved in within the office. There are (in non-covid times) nights out to socialise with the team and team volunteering days for local charities and good causes. There is not any professional networks or communities that meet within the offices. There is a onsite gym, sports hall and bar.
