Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Checking British Airwaiys Customers, This involves checking Destination requirements, checking passports validity, weighing and taking bags, allocating seats and finally boarding passengers to the plans.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I was very happy to come into work and every day is different never a dull moment. Colleagues are Very helpful and supportive at all times, which made it enjoyable and enabled me to learn more.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

1) I have learned lots of skills for example,Working quickly under pressure while remaining clam and friendly. 2) paying attention to details at all times. 3) Time management. 4) Dealing with people from different cultures and backgrounds.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Very organised, very clear time table that was easy to understand. Dates were clear, we were all aware what to expect at all stages. The British Airwaiys apprentice leaders were fantastic an email away and always ready to help even with personal issues.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

100 percent, there was no day that I felt let down or not listened too.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Amazing trainers were at hand, I was impressed how patient loving while still being professional and respectful they were to all of us. All my colleagues were happy with them.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Without my training I would definitely not be as confident as l am right now. Lots of tips and practice were given to help with different issues. If needed we could as individuals help too.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There was a lot of events planed but unfortunately most were cancelled due to covid, but they still managed to do some on line through teems.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to British Airways?
British Airwaiys is an fantastic company to work for. The airport is a fast, exiting place to work in, with different varieties of rolls, no one day I’d the same. If you want a fun, with various rolls, and challenging place to work. BA has it all.
