Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
My role as an ocr analyst was to complete a number of daily controls to in an effective manner to ensure business needs are met. This includes the creation and issuance of reports, collateral document management and invoicing.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I enjoyed my programme very much. The job was very interesting and the business gave us a number of opportunities to meet new people in the business and complete a number of courses to learn more about the company and the financial services as a whole.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Having joined from school my skills were limited. I feel I have learnt a vast amount of skills including my communication skills as well as things such as email skills and different skills within various systems.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
My programme was very well organised. We met monthly with the early careers team to learn some more about the business and on a day to day our managers ensured we had enough work and support.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
The business gave me a lot of support. We had a buddy system in place so we had a separate connection in the business to go to for support as well as bi weekly meetings with our line manager.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
When working towards our qualification the provider would meet us monthly and set goals to work towards for the month. They also kept in touch and were always available to provide support if required.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
Through learning a qualification it taught me the fundamentals of the way to work within the business and as a whole had a direct affect on my day to day work.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
There are a number of social groups at my company. Team events were relatively common where possible as well as wider social groups such as Balance network which was all about equality in the work place. Or the YPDM for the younger people in the business.
