Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
i start with a shift tried and talk to the team about the day ahead, I deal with any phone enquires, restaurant tables and check ins. I also help the team with any issues they might have throughout the day. At the end of the shift, i cash up the tills and close the bar.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I enjoy the program a great deal. The online workshops are a great way to meet new people and speak with them about their personal experiences of the course and compare them with my own.I enjoy meeting with my trainer, she is extremely helpful and makes me feel confident.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have developed many existing skills including my earning and also my management style which i am looking forward to putting into practice when we open. I have learnt skills which will help me engage better with my team and help me lead them now i have a better understanding of how to.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
Very well with modules and workshops throughout the month and at the end a meeting with my trainer to discuss everything i have learned over the month and prep for the next month. It has been very set out and in an order that makes sense so far its been great.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I have a fellow colleague who is further ahead on the course by about a year. This means i can go to him and ask for help and guidance at any time. My managers have been extremely supportive so far and are willing to help in any way they can.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
[This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the Higherin Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] is always available to help with any questions i may have regarding the course. The support i have received across the board has been fantastic and i am very lucky to be in this position. The online help and support has been great as well and i am usually always able to find any answers i need.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I am currently a supervisor looking to step up into management so the course is giving me many skills which i can take into work to help myself perform better in my current role and also step up to a management role and excel in it hopefully in the near future.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
I work in a very local pub so apart from the more management side of events we do not have much. Last year i went on a company even to the food college in birmingham for the new menu cook off and tasting. This involved the whole brand of head chefs, general managers and assistant managers so i was lucky to get the opportunity.
