Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My job role is the fabrication and welding of steel, this involves ensuring parts are within a degree of dimensional accuracy, and have all of the relevant fittings and modifications made to the material
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy learning and developing my skills at work mostly over the college work

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learned proper care and use of a MIG welding plant and Oxy fuel cutting equipment along with many other skills, I have also been developing understanding of engineering drawings and how to obtain dimensional accuracy when fabricating

How well organised/structured is your programme?

There are some aspects of the course that are well structured, for the most part college can be organised at times however sometimes there can be abit too much going on at once
How much support do you receive from your employer?

We receive adequate support from our employers in the workplace, they can be helpful when aiding development of skills in the workplace
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

As of recently we have been getting more support from work in regards to getting paperwork and practical done, however i do feel that we could be provided with additional support in places
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Some of the units we are doing at college are helpful in the workplace, however the way jobs are carried out in the workshop are alot different to most of the things we learn at college
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
