Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I am a data analyst which is a multifaceted role. It generally consists of my extracting and manipulating data in a database, analysing this data and providing management information to certain stakeholders with this.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
2/5
I do enjoy how much new information I learn, and I love the latter end of the process once I have the data and am analysing it. However, I find the database extraction and coding not as interesting. Also, the courses (probably due to being remote) I find to be not as engaging as I would normally need.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learnt so many new skills. I've learnt more advanced Microsoft skills, in particular Excel which I use on a daily basis. Not only this, but I've learnt so much about data, what it consists of, how to use it and how best to utilise this to present interesting insight.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
It is very well organised, very clear layout of what I need to do in order to excel in my apprenticeship.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I receive a lot of support from my employer, especially in terms of the space they give me in my working days to pay my attention towards my apprenticeship.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
Lots of support, especially in organisation and directing me to achieving all criteria.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
It definitely makes me far more informed in my role, with background information and theory that directly applies and links to my every role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
2/5
Yes, plenty of social activities. There are many networking communities, however due to covid-19 obviously these have been slightly restricted.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Lloyds Banking Group?
Definitely look into the organisation as a whole, as the culture is extremely important on my day-to-day working.
